My name is Julia Dover and I'm an established multimedia artist from Sydney.

I have over 30 years experience as a self-taught multimedia artist in the creative world.

 

This year I gained national recognized as an

Archibald finalist with my portrait

My sitter Ahmed Al Ahmed 

'The Bondi Hero' a Sydney man who disarmed a gunman during a terrorist attack at a Jewish event in Bondi.

He saved several hundreds of people's lives during the massacre. 

His heroism gave him fame around the world.

I had the honor of inviting Ahmed Al Ahmed into my home and  paint his portrait from my artistic view.

​

He holds the Turkish eye up in the sky to symbolize the moment he seized evil; Uniting all nationalities and religions.

 

Since then I've had featured articles in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, The Hills Shire Times and Hills to Hawkesbury.

I was interviewed by Channel 9 and SBS.

My artwork was also seen on Sky news, channel 9 and 10.

I ooze creativity and there isn’t much I shy away from.

In my profession I have worked independently with more than 15 companies worldwide.

Companies such as Staedtler, Ryobi, Singer, Canson, Speedball Art, Italian shoe brand, Superga- recreating a campaign for Hailey Bieber and Microsoft promoting the release of their Surface Pro laptop.

I create, film and edit content that showcase’s their products and makes them standout.

 

Working long term with Singer, as their blogger and creating content with their products whilst keeping ahead of the trends.

I love connecting people with excitement fast or slow,

And looking for potential everywhere I may go.

I thrive on solving problems, I’m not afraid to take a chance.

While celebrating triumphs with a little Irish dance.

Obstruction is still production it’s a challenge to complete,

Grow your social network and create a new spreadsheet.

I believe in what I do I am confident and focused,

I think outside the box, standing out will get you noticed.

Creativity is my forte and learning new skills every day,

I have placed 2nd and 5th, nationwide with The Creative Beading Magazine for my Swarovski wire sculptures.

In 2023 I first entered the Ku-ring-gai Sculpture Trail with my sculpture.

2024 I was presented with the “Highly Commended” award In the Ku-ring-gai Sculpture Trail.

This was for my recycled wire mushroom installation

“Once Upon a Time”

The sculpture was chosen to be the feature hero image.

Printed on signs, invitations and used for all the marketing and advertising.

 

Entering the Willoughby City Council, I was awarded for my painting entries in the “Connect, Collaborate and celebrate” exhibition.

Internationally collected I have artwork displayed at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Dr Peter Woods Obstetrician practice, Wahroonga, Parramatta and Gordon. Along with paintings that are currently showcased with Art Lovers Australia and Bluethumb.

2 meter sculpture of a pregnant goanna displayed climbing the trunk of a large gumtree.

Both now available for the public to view at The Ku-ring-gai Sculpture trail.

In 2024 I entered the Archibald

 

I have had the pleasure of being invited to an intimate group viewing of the finalists in the Archibald Prize 2023 at the Art Gallery of NSW. Followed with dinner hosted by celebrity Matt Morang’s

 

Along with this opportunity I was invited along to the private viewing of Australian artist John Russell Vincent and close friend Van Gogh’s collection.

​

As a content creator and influencer on social media my videos have gone viral receiving millions of views – featuring on UNILAD, 9gag, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.

 

The Tamron Hall Show- American actress and producer featured a segment of my reels on her talk show.

Interviewed by Power of Positivity and profile featured in Artit and Stell Magazine.

Throughout the pandemic aware of how hard it was for people to access art supplies or afford them.

I reached out to companies in America, Australia, Europe and organised collaborations by creating fun competitions for people around the world to get involved in.

 This was a great success by having thousands of people getting involved.
